Prompt set

A prompt set is the stable list of buyer questions you run against answer engines so the results can be compared over time. It is the instrument list inside AI visibility monitoring. Branded questions and category questions answer different parts of AI brand visibility.

What belongs in the set

Include the questions buyers ask before they choose. Category prompts such as "best tools for X" show whether you appear at all. Comparison prompts show who you are weighed against. Branded prompts such as "What is [Brand]?" show accuracy and tone once the buyer already knows your name.

Keep the wording stable. A trend is only a trend if the question stays still while the answer moves. Adding a prompt is fine. Quietly rewriting last month's prompt makes the chart lie.

How Prompt Presence uses it

The monitoring guide covers cadence and model coverage. This page only defines the set. One ChatGPT paste of a single question is not a prompt set; the ChatGPT brand mentions how-to says what a one-engine check can and cannot tell you.

You can start from a free snapshot on the models in the plan you try. The AI Visibility Audit runs a four-model reading and a 30-day plan.

Questions

What is a prompt set?

A prompt set is the stable list of buyer questions you track across answer engines so you can see trends, not just one screenshot.

Should a prompt set be branded or unbranded?

Both. Branded prompts test accuracy and sentiment. Unbranded category prompts test whether you appear, and what share of voice you have. The outcome framing is on AI brand visibility.

Where is the monitoring setup explained?

On AI visibility monitoring: the prompt set, the models, the cadence, and what you do with the data.
